Bringing Support Closer to Rangatahi in South Waikato

Our new rangatahi support van, Evangeline, gives young people in South Waikato a private, youth‑friendly space to meet with the EaseUp team. The van was funded through reinvestment and shaped with guidance from the Mental Health Foundation Youth Advisory Group.

Kyra, one of our kaimahi, says her favourite part of the mahi is meeting rangatahi and working with their whānau to help achieve their goals. Brandy, also part of the team, loves seeing her inner child come out and enjoys celebrating rangatahi as they grow, graduate and return to reconnect.

Evangeline will travel across the rohe to offer private sessions, school drop‑ins and a presence at community events, helping more rangatahi and whānau access support.
