Our Mahi
You’re aged 12 – 24
You’re struggling with mental wellbeing and/or alcohol and drug use
You live in Auckland, Waitematā, South Waikato or more specifically:
- as far north as Wellsford
- as far west as Piha
- as far east as Tāmaki
- Te Awamutu, Tokoroa, Te Kuiti, Taumaranui and everywhere in between.
What to expect
Each young person we work alongside is teamed up with a Youth Peer Support Worker and a Clinician. So, you’ll partner with someone who has overcome their own mental wellbeing and/or alcohol/drug issues as well as someone who is a qualified health professional and trained in the best ways to support you to achieve your goals.
There’s no waiting list. You can call us to schedule a time to catch up or ask your GP, nurse or school counsellor to contact us on your behalf. You'll always know what’s happening - decisions are made with you, rather than for you.
We will:
- Listen to you
- Answer your questions
- Be straight up with you
- Never judge your identity, beliefs, values or choices
- Work together to help create your goals
- Uphold your rights
EaseUp is a free and confidential service. If we feel you or someone you mention are in danger or need more support; we may discuss bringing other youth support services on board to help. If you’re younger than 16, we’ll need to get your parent/caregiver’s consent for you to see us, after your first appointment. We encourage having support people through this journey, such as whānau/fanau/friends. Who you choose to have involved, for which parts and for how long is up to you. (And if you don’t want others involved, we’ll respect this choice too.)
We’re here to help for a short time and set you on your way. If you need us again in the future, we’ll always be happy to see you.

We support whānau too
