👋 Meet Matt, a Peer Support Worker at EaseUp Northshore ❤️✨ MORE
Meet Hellen Lanigan! 👋 Our amazing Ease Up Clinician for the South Waikato team ❤️✨
🌟 About Hellen:
Kia Ora, I’m Hellen Lanigan Female (she/her), and I am Clinician here at EaseUp South Waikato. I am passionate about my role because we get to support youth in their space on their journey. My key passion is working with young people in a non judging way no matter what colour, race, sexuality, beliefs. I really love working with our youth who are at the crossroads of their life’s or who seen or have started out at life before their time young mums, drug use, grief loss,. For me it is a privilege to walk along side the youth and to hear there stories and validate there truths and guide them to navigate and access that their lives matter.
🌟 Who is a strong role model you look up to and why?
I look up to Te Atairangikaahui – Māori Queen – Tainui because I looked at her as one of many of my inspirational leaders in my life. For her upmost humbleness and her full dedication of supporting whanau, hapu, iwi no matter how hard the mahi was she continued on with a smile and grace for herself and any people who came amongst her in her professional life, personal life. That what helps me even though she has past I can never forget her everlasting present that’s what inspire me every day.
🎬 What’s your favourite movie or TV show and why?
My favourite is Hotel Transylvania. I love it because I would so love to stay at the hotel with all of the characters and hopefully I could just be a vampire for the entire stay would be cool. I love watching that movie every time it has a vibe to it where it puts me in a place of happiness.
🌍 If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would love to visit Japan because the kai would be my number one and the diversity of culture and way of life would like to see traditional rural settings of Japan and contrast it with urban life.
